Coach appointment gives Cougars hope

THERE are few certainties in football, but Cougars chief executive Bevan Dingley at least can see a possible bright light at the end of the tunnel.
 
It has been a very tough 12 months for the cash-strapped Hyundai QSL side with a general lack of enthusiasm in Central Queensland to embrace the Cougars' concept.
 
High-profile Uruguayan international player Washington Gonzales started the season as the Cougars coach, but both he and assistant Trevor Wood were gone before season's end with Dingley sharing coaching duties so the team could complete its commitments for the 2011 season.
