The Brisbane Strikers began their 2012 QSL campaign in rampaging style today, going on a scoring spree as they demolished the Gold Coast Stars 9-1 at Runaway Bay.

 

Any lingering demons from last season, in which the Stars held the Strikers scoreless while beating them in both fixtures, were well and truly laid to rest as the Strikers ran a new-look and very inexperienced young Gold Coast side ragged, scoring four goals in the first half and five in the second.
