Last week’s fixtures provided some of the best football seen this season, with the top-of-the table match between the Whitsunday Miners and Sunshine Coast Fire finishing in a heart-stopping 2-2 draw, the NQ Razorbacks and FNQ Bulls also fighting each other to a standstill in a 1-1 draw and Bundaberg Spirit turning the tables on their first-round tormentors, Capricorn Cougars, with a 3-2 win in Bundaberg.  The Fire clung to top spot with their hard-earned point, while the Brisbane Strikers closed to within two points and reclaimed second spot at the expense of the Miners with their 7-0 thumping of bottom team Gold Coast Stars.  The Bulls have the bye this weekend.
